    Default iPhone 4 mini-hack

A friend and I found sorta a hack for the iPhone 4. I am at work now, but will post the details when I get home. It is almost not worth doing unless your just setting up your phone (as it involves restoring it). But we have iBlanks (with blanknull) on the iPhone 4 and replaced the time and carrier name in the status bar. (could possibly get some other stuff, just need to expierement a little more)
    Oh, and a screenshot.

yea, i guess this is more of a mod than a hack.
    Needed:
    • Older iPhone/iPod (preferrably freshly restored and jailbroken)
    • iTunes
    • iPhone 4
Now, this goes against one thing i have always warned people against, and im sure some of you have already done this, and may not be anything new. You must restore from a backup of your old device, on your new iPhone 4, which i am normally very against, and why I recommend restoring, and rejailbreaking your old device first. If the wrong files get back on there, it can cause some major issues. Do at your own risk. Then make a backup after putting the appropriate files on.
Thanks to Overkill for reminding me of this.

Its pretty simple to do, after you jailbreak your old device, put Make it Mine on there, change the status bar to whatever you want (i used my wife's Star Trek theme, which is why it says starfleet). Add iBlanks and Blanknull. Create the exact amounts of blanks you need (it will not put the app iBlank on your iphone 4, just the blanks themselves - which work since they are just webclips, but they stay nulled). Then back your device up. Plug in your iPhone 4 set it up from your backup. It will keep the altered status bar and the iBlanks to arrange your icons however you want (and they will go into the Folders).

There might be some other apps that will work as well (well, not the apps, but the effects of the app), i just need to try out a few more things and see what sticks. Hopefully someone can use this as a stepping stone to do something truly cool.

Im about to redo mine, and change it to Verizon as the carrier, and have some fun at the local Verizon store

Crap, i had no idea the pic was that big from the iPhone 4!!!

Ohhhhh thats what u meant haha I did this already. pretty fun to play around with though. what you could try, is put springjumps into the webclips folder, and then restore from backup. see if they springjumps stay on the phone after restore.

it's just around the corner I saw the interview with Saurik today and things sound promising. The jailbreak is basically done and working. They are just trying to make it simple for users
