BTW, not sure if Lance is reconsidering since the conversation we had through email a while back didn't sound as if he's continuing support for SpringJumps - as you all know, there hasn't been ANY UPDATES since the release of Categories SB. All you SpringJumps fanatics better start emailing him and convince him. But like I've mentioned a couple of times, he says Categories SB is a replacement to SpringJumps and that SpringJumps is obsolete. Just putting it out there guys. Cat SB is looking more of a better option with the Apple "file management" being maxed at 12 apps per folder. <_<

Nah not me bro! Have fun I'm stickin with what I got! I'm not ready to wait!!!! Lol when all this is sorrted out and functional I might concider it but for now I love the themes that r out now!!!!

Now I'm gonna go in a rant about this catSB/springjump bs! Categories is in no way a substitute for springjumps no way! And I'm sorry but I'm sure the guy that created em is a smart guy but he sound like an idiot! CatSB you have to go into and exit out of! Great! I love extra steps to get where I wanna be! NOT! I can just Go anywhere on my spring! I don't have go in my apps folder then exit out to go to my systems folder screw that! I use catSB for 1 reason and 1 reason only to hide the apps that I don't use that much! Also you can't theme catSB like a normal page, you can but not at all the same effect! So catSB the SJ replacment! I say nay!!!! My 2 cents!!!!

Everybody on os4 has to be patient. Yes, you can manually theme. I call it straightjackin'. As I've mentioned to a few people here the new OS is very different. I don't expect WB anytime soon, but I do expect it. Working on some stuff right now so well see.

@Gundom - you can keep using categories. Maybe he'll make it better, maybe he won't. I know well see better things come of this. Newer, better, and cleaner ways to theme. It's your choice to change with it, or watch everyone else do it for you.

We all have our own opinion, and coming from the creator, he has his reasons I'm sure. So maybe you can email him and have this debate. I'm just here to let everyone know what may or may not be updated for OS4. I like using both, but I don't like to swipe. And this is my 2 cents and not to start some kind of debate. You use SpringJumps to jump from one page to another. If that is the case, why is it that you're able to swipe? Either do it one way or do it another way. Not to bang at Lance, but I think he couldn't program it to stop the process of swiping. Now for Cat SB - I'm a One Pager because I like to categorize. And the way Lance programmed it, you can either turn off or turn on the Dock. You've tested MyPad, and with Hidden Dock Off, it functions as if you're using SJ.

Now, this is my pet peeve on both. If SpringJumps, just jump, don't swipe. And if you swipe, why bother using SJ? Beauty of it is that you have all of your usable apps on each Page, you can view your widgets on each Page, but you still need Cat SB to store unsused apps. If Cat SB, GREAT! You can categorize your apps the way you want it, but the way you want it may create more than 5 or 6... outside of a cleaner setup by using InfiniDock. With Hidden Dock Off, you can have your folders in the Dock and access them from any folder. Unlike SpringJumps, if you're inside a Cat SB folder that is not Docked, you have to press a Page to get out of it jsut to access another folder if it is in that page. An ugly side of Cat SB is the inability to "drag and drop". The middle man itself is Cat SB. you have to open up Cat SB and manage your folders. No options for the layout. It's all based on your SpringBoard layout. If using Iconoclasm, you better hope it's in working order or you get screwed by Iconoclasm.

I didn't quite get what you meant by "unable to theme Cat SB". You can design your own background and turn it on in the Cat SB settings. Themed! Another thing I don't like is that you have to have a background in each folder to be able to cover the widgets. And how do I wish that you can manage the folders where you can assign each row or column to where you want your apps to be placed. That way, your apps can start either on any rows filling up any of the columns without the use of iBlanks. Like so...

I'm not here to defend the creator or Cat SB. I've used both, and seems like you always have to use both. I don't like to swipe, but I have to with InfiniBoard. I like the functionality of Cat SB with the Dock option, but I don't like the middle man itself to manage your folders. I like Categorizing, but I don't like the middle man again just so I can organize it. Make Cat SB like Apple's folder system where you can drag and drop like Stacks, but not limited to 12, and to be able to change the folder name on the fly without the middle man itself.

If Lance doesn't support SpringJumps, what will you do Scotty? Stay at 3.0? All I'm saying is that be prepared in case this happens. And maybe, the best solution is to find out form him if he is still willing to port over. Because if he doesn't, themers who loves SpringJumps will either stop themeing, stick at 3.0, or just grow with it. Whether you call it growing or reverting, Lance told me what he had to, at that time. I even talked to him about possible options for Cat SB and SpringJumps on my last email... he never responded. And those were good options too! Now k.nitsua I believe had his own ordeal with Cat SB and contacted Lance... I asked k.nitsua then what the response was... I don't think there was ever a response. And I can recall a post from k.nitsua on one of his themes... "still waiting for a response from ashikase about a possible option for Cat SB"

Tell you the truth I just don't themes the same way ever it got to the point where we could let our imaginations run with catSB, springjumps, iconoclasm, and sooooo many more tweeks and form the screen shots that V put up I don't know bro I just don't see the lush themes coming out of ios4 nit for a loooong time!!!! So yah I might just stay at 3.0 for a while and enjoy what I just started to do! Or go to ios4 and stop! Right now that's the way I see it cause I'm not the smartest of dudes I've used what others have created and used it to my advantage! Without it I just don't see it the same way I see freakin springboard! And sorry but I don't like springboard themes or 1 page themes and gun I'm sorry but that's just me I like flash eyecandy! I'm out!!!!!!!! :-)

oh and I'm sorry but putting a background in catSb is not themeing there's no way edge wouldve come out like it did if I just used catSB! And no way to put the icons the way I want em! super limited!!!!
