Ok, so the literature that I'm seeing for iOS JB'ing points me to Redsnow for the iOS 5 ( I know, it's a tethered JB), but I also see some saying that it won't work on the 4S. True or not? I'm patiently (not really patient, but w/o a choice) waiting for the untethered and considering the "Semi-Tether" tweak but don't wanna put my phone in DFU and risk bricking it if it's not gonna work. Insight anyone?

Simi Tethered package didn't work on my Verizon iPhone... i would not use it. Not sure about the 4S jailbreak.

The newest redsn0w out there (redsn0w_win_0.9.9b8) does not work with the 4S, or iPad 2. It can Jailbreak up to 5.0.1 (OS 5 and 5.0.1 are tethered).
And for the semitether tweak, I wouldnt use it. I tried it today, it messed with all my icons (turning them all white), wouldn't allow me to boot tethered with redsn0w, left me in a constant semi-tethered state, and forced me to restore for the 2nd time today.... Not the best tweak out there I'd say....
