Need help on a Cydia Repo

Hey peeps,

I installed for my themes a repo for all beta testers.
Now I need some little help on how i can save UDID or any other unique values to a database.
The prob is not the php or database part.
I need information about to get the ID from the device access my repo.

Would be so great if someone could help me!

Hmm... good question. I think UDID check should be done locally... perhaps by your custom app. Maybe you can build an app that beta testers have installed that checks for UDID and talks to your repo/db?

I asked saurik this question and his response was:

I know of one theoretical way to do it, but it requires ahead-of-time setup by the user and I believe requires going through apple at some point in the process

Basically its hard to do via (like a browser), but if you build your own app that does that locally, and then transmit that info (encrypted), that might be something to consider.

Yeah, that is the easiest way... but as soon as the URL leaks, there is no stop to it unless you move your repo to another address Just the way it is. But I am sure your friends are honest and will keep it to themselves.
