iPad 3 / 299$ iPad 2 arriving

I just found this story on the web and got all over it: iPad may drop to 299$ after iPad 3 launch

I almost couldn't believe it, it just seems to cheap for the iPad2, but when I had a look at the iPhone sales it all made sense. They skyrocketed after they introduced the 4s and had a cheap 4 and a cheaper 3s to offer. Why would they not do it with the iPad2? They will still make a profit and sell more apps as more people have iPads.
